Free school pickup checklist
A printable school pickup checklist for families sharing collection duties, with space for the meeting point, confirmed adult, and belongings.

Use this checklist to make one pickup clear: the date, the adult collecting, the agreed meeting point, and what happens afterward. Confirm the arrangement directly with everyone involved.
Record the arrangement that is actually confirmed
Write the specific day and finish time before adding a name. A person who usually collects on Tuesdays may not be available this week. Mark whether they have agreed, then keep any backup arrangement separate. This sheet helps organize your household; it does not replace the school’s own authorization process, collection rules, or communications about a changed collector.
Describe the meeting point without shorthand
A phrase such as “the usual gate” is not useful to a grandparent visiting for the first time. Write the entrance name, the place to wait, and where the school publishes last-minute notices. Include the office contact from the school’s own information. Check details with the school rather than relying on a route somebody remembers from a previous term.
Close the loop after collection
The final fields are for the destination after pickup and belongings to bring home. For example, the library book may need to leave school on Wednesday even though the activity bag stays there. Agree whether a short confirmation is needed after collection and who should receive it. Keep the current sheet with the collector and retire superseded copies when plans change.

Common questions
Does this authorize a different collector?
No. Follow the school’s official process for authorizing adults and communicating changes.
Should I fill this out every day?
Use it for days when a handoff needs clarification. Familiar arrangements may only need a dated update.
